MEXICO CITY, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- Chilean midfielder Angelo Araos has joined Necaxa from Brazil's Corinthians, the Mexican club said on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old, who has been capped once for Chile's national team, will be available for the start of the Liga MX Clausura season in January.
"Angelo Araos will join the Aguascalientes team on a permanent deal for the Clausura 2022 tournament," Necaxa said in a statement.
Araos, who can play in an advanced or defensive midfield role or as a winger, made 52 appearances across all competitions for Corinthians after arriving at the Sao Paulo club from Universidad de Chile in 2018.
Necaxa finished 14th in the 18-team Liga MX Apertura regular season, which ended last month.
