HAVANA, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- Cuba reported more than 3,000 COVID-19 infections, registering 3,307 cases and four deaths in the last day, for a total of 1,025,419 cases and 8,367 deaths, the Ministry of Public Health said Monday.
According to the ministry's daily report, there were 17,157 active cases on the island.
The province of Holguin reported the highest number of infections in the last day with 445 cases, followed by Las Tunas with 370, and Matanzas with 294.
Some 9.8 million of the 11.2 million Cubans have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, while 4.7 million people have received a booster dose, according to the ministry.
Immunization is being carried out with the Abdala, Soberana-02 and Soberana Plus vaccines, three of the five vaccines developed in Cuba.
